Surgery Patient - AO Orthopedics, Inc. in Lebanon, PA
When you have a condition or injury that necessitates orthopedic surgery, you may have many questions for our staff at AO Orthopedics. To help you understand more about how orthopedic surgical care works and what to expect during and after your operation, we have created this guideline with the important information you need to know. Becoming familiar with surgery expectations can help to lessen any nervousness or anxiety about your procedure and may even help to speed up the recovery and healing process.
During your surgical procedure, you will be under anesthesia. When your surgery is finished, you may feel tired and groggy, and your vision may be blurry or doubled for a few minutes. Your family will be able to see you once you have woken up. After you have had a bite to eat and used the restroom, you may be released to go home. You will be given a prescription pain reliever to help with pain management. Our physicians recommend that you keep on schedule with your medication to avoid discomfort.
